Hayes Kanyike is an established business professional and fitness provider in the tri-state area, one who’s made a serious impact in the communities he serves. Owner of Hayes 4 Fitness and founder of Gains App Inc., this entrepreneur has leaned on his strong work ethic, tech proficiency, and financial acumen to build a strong portfolio of assets. Current Role and Duties Kanyike’s is currently pivoting his business strategy from brick-and-mortar operations to technology. His digital fitness program, known as Gains App, is set to launch in Q1 2022. To get users excited about the product, Hayes Kanyike went straight to his audience instead of funnelling all of his seed money into expensive marketing companies. By meticulously building out his Instagram page, he’s able to connect with fitness enthusiasts on a personal level. At @GAINSAPPINC, visitors can either participate in fitness competitions and win cash prizes, or they can earn money by correctly betting on who will win the competition. Every Wednesday on Instagram, Kanyike creates an exciting environment where people can be swept away in the fun of fitness. The buzz is setting the stage for the debut of his app. Career History Hayes Kanyike started as a personal trainer in 2010 in New York. While in this role, he would work incredibly hard to prove himself to his clientele and establish himself as an expert in the industry. Part of his success stemmed from his resilience, but the other part was his inherent understanding of how the economic sector functioned as a whole. By studying the evolution of fitness and understanding the history, it was clear that the advancement of the fitness industry lied in tech innovation. Mr. Kanyike was able to design a product that would speak to people’s desire for a full-scale strategy for their health. In 2014, he opened Hayes 4 Fitness to provide services to people in the Hudson Valley before branching out to New York City in 2018. When the pandemic affected his business, he started work on a social platform where people could win instant cash for competing and betting on fitness challenges. Gains App Inc. is a way for the fitness community to remain active, connected, entertained and rewarded. Academic History Kanyike graduated from FDR high school in Hyde Park, NY before studying Exercise Science at Kaplan University. In college, he would learn about both the anatomy of the body and how different exercises would impact health goals. Because personal fitness will vary based on the individual, this gave him key insight into how he could adapt his business to meet emerging needs and shifting values — particularly as new research reveals how physical fitness can stave off everything from mental illness to cancer. Professional Skills and Experience Hayes Kanyike is a born teacher and an expert in calisthenics exercises. He’s able to work with clients from all backgrounds and help them reach their personal goals. He’s also a financial expert who began his career on Wall Street as a broker. He was able to blend his gift for physical health and financial prowess into the successful owning and managing of his wellness studio. Finally, Kanyike is skilled in the world of technology. His blockchain-based Gains App is allowing users from all over the world to buy and sell digital assets, changing their relationship with health and fitness on a fundamental level. Philanthropy/Charitable Involvement Kanyike is an active philanthropist in his area. He’s not only donated to the Poughkeepsie school district, he’s also volunteered at a number of organizations in his area including Wappingers School, Brother to Brother, US Army Reserves, Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce, and the Waterfront Advisory Committee. Hayes Kanyike has overcome a number of challenges in his life. He came to the US as a refugee, and lost both parents before turning 18. His father was a prominent figure in Uganda until dictator Idi Amin turned on him for defying orders. His charitable involvement is a way of inspiring people to persevere no matter their struggles while improving his community at the same time. Accomplishments/Achievements Hayes Kanyike has managed to accomplish a number of feats throughout the course of his professional and personal life: Owner and operator of the first full-service wellness studio in the Hudson Valley to offer personal training, nutritional, chiropractic, and psychotherapy support to every client. Partnered with Marist College and Upper Bound to provide health and fitness services to students. Also provided services to Poughkeepsie city schools. Served as a member of the Poughkeepsie City Council and the Waterfront Advisory Council(committee). Created jobs for formerly incarcerated people to reduce rates of recidivism. Received award from US Army Reserves for providing health and fitness services. One of the first to partner with a high-rise developer in NYC to provide fitness amenities to tenants.- I want you to understand why this was unique. This meant that luxury high rise developments would not put a regular fitness center in the building. He’s also a family man who loves spending quality time with his loved ones.
